Constance Guisset for Molteni & C: MO Lamp & SOL Rocking ChairPosted: April 9, 2012
In a similar fashion to her Vertigo pendant light, Constance Guissest shows an aesthetic draw towards using structural elements as a principle design motif. Her two new pieces, the MO Lamp & SOL Rocking Chair are part of an installation called Eclaté (Exploded) that will be displayed during the Salone del Mobile fair next week at the Salvatore Ferragamo boutique on Via Montenapoleone. The MO Lamp‘s wooden structure is both rigidly solid and cataclysmically dynamic, emanating light from its hanging neon bulbs. Its companion, the SOL Rocking Chair, echoes the lamp’s linear approach but displays an opposing, graceful lightness that completes their poetic design dialogue.
