Donna Wilson & SCP: Nos Da CollectionPosted: November 10, 2011
I’ve been seeing these around. La Rinascente in Milan, The Future Perfect in Brooklyn (pictured at top) and Design within Reach in Soho. Conclusion: Donna Wilson is everywhere. So what is it about these textiles? One thing is definitely the color which is adventurous and unique. She also makes a traditional technique feel totally new by creating graphic, blown-up digital effects that reference no specific historic genre and instead create their own.
From SCP: The wool for this collection is specially spun and dyed in England and then woven in Wales Using a time-honoured double cloth weaving technique that creates a pleasing multi-layered aesthetic, full of colour and character.
