Barber Osgerby for Established & Sons: Iris Limited EditionPosted: August 12, 2011
These massive tables from Barber Osgerby for Established & Sons are a testament to how size and color can be used to dramatically influence our perception of an object. These bowl-like shapes are taken off the tabletop, where we normally might find them, and created into tables themselves. The gradating and evolving color bars move the eye around the table complementing the roundness of the tables’ shapes. I particularly love the depth of the green palette. More on these designs below.
From Established & Sons: Iris features 5 tables, each with its own specific color spectrum. The Iris tables have been specifically designed to create the best possible forms, showcasing the rich color palette and capturing the beauty of a color chart in a 3 dimensional form. Using circular forms means that the color patterns are continuous, with no starting point and no end.
